Dear Potential Sponsor,
This is an invitation to become a leading sponsor of the Walnut Creek Aquanuts (WCA), one of the top synchronized swimming clubs in the world.
The Walnut Creek Aquanuts was founded in 1968 with just two swimmers and has grown over the past 43 years; today, the WCA boasts a roster of over 60 swimmers from novices to Olympians, on nine different teams. To date, our teams and individual swimmers have achieved remarkable success, winning over 200 national and international titles and awards and have produced a total of 18 Olympians, eight Olympic Gold Medals in 1996 and three in 2004. In 2010, we became all round high point US National Champions, US National Junior Champions, and eight athletes from our club earned spots on US National Teams.
It takes an enormous amount of talent, commitment and money for the WCA to achieve this level of success. Our athletes and coaches have that talent and commitment, but we rely on fundraisers and sponsorship to help maintain such a high level of excellence and fund necessary travel and training. The support we have received thus far has afforded us to attract top-tier synchronized swimming expertise. The WCA coaching staff is second to none as we are fortunate to have Kim Probst, former co-captain of the 2008 Olympic Team, as our Head Coach, Tammy McGregor, Olympic Coach, coaching our 13-15A/Junior Team as well as several other Olympic Coaches and former Olympians. While we recognize how fortunate we are to have synchronized swimming expertise, we are in dire need of further support to attain the key ingredients to help the new generation of WCA to attain success.
To be internationally competitive, the girls need to be strong, flexible and versatile, all around athletes first; great synchronized swimmers second. We need more hours of acrobatic training and ballet; sufficient deep water pool time and gym time; 2 coaches per team to ensure individual attention and make sure that no athlete is left behind; and new equipment for our Swim Show that has become a major attraction as well as an important source of funding from our community.
We urgently need your help to support the above mentioned fundamental needs. You can help in several ways: become a sponsor with a tax-deductible (WCA is a non-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, Tax ID # 23-7103045) monetary donation, buy advertising space in our monthly Newsletter or in our annual Fundraising Event Auction Program.
